Our upcoming event at REDCAT October 26th-28th will include: Presentation of the Platform Lifetime Achievement Award to renowned manga artist and anime director Katsuhiro Otomo, who will be present to screen his new short film Combustible in a rare visit to the United States, Best of Annecy shorts and graduation films including many US premiers, an archival screening of films by surrealistic stop-motion pioneer Ladislas Starewitch; a special preview screening of Walt Disney Studios new short film Paperman, and more. This event will be a collaboration with CalArts animators at REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, October 26th -28th 2012.

Platform is a US based International Animation Festival founded in 2007. We are a multi-platform event showing animation in theaters as well as installations and on mobile devices.
